The auxiliary switch is crucial to the performance of a high-voltage vacuum circuit breaker. Circuit breaker failure to operate (trip/close) often occurs in power systems due to poor quality of the auxiliary switch, so it must not be taken lightly. The following precautions must be observed when adjusting its stroke:
(1) The stroke shall not be excessively large; otherwise, the contact pieces will be deformed and bent, affecting the contact performance;
(2) During adjustment, the pair of contacts connected in series in the closing control circuit shall be adjusted to reliably disconnect after the circuit breaker is closed. Otherwise, the closing coil will remain energized for a long time and burn out;
(3) If the moving and static contact pieces are already deformed, they shall be corrected first;
(4) After adjustment, it shall meet the requirements for low-voltage closing of the circuit breaker.
